Exploring WriteLaTeX as my writing+collaborative writing tool

I was advised by a dear colleague I shall write my thesis and articles in LaTeX as it is a powerful tool and it generates elegant documents. It is also in the cloud and it will prevent me from Murphy’s incredible presence in the most unimaginable places, for example, in the last week of writing my thesis: my dog pissed my computer and it died loosing my 80000 words that where ready to deliver awaiting small editing.
So I decided to give it a try. At the beginning I was reluctant but I have been exploring an incredible webpage that makes this task far easier as I imagined. I have still not started as time at the moment is scarce. But I am happy to share my discoveries so maybe others can benefit from it. And I put it in my teaching portfolio as it will be a tool for my teaching experience.

WriteLaTeX is the online editor and they have youtube videos
Here is another video related to starting writing with LaTeX (It starts with a dance class as the videos are part of a list, just skip the first video and the rest are tutorials)

Here is also a valuable resource made in LaTex, a calendar template
